Initiation Stage

Initiating your short course can feel a lot like jumping into the unknown, but previous organisers and alums will promise you that it's worth it. In 2023, 779 participants attended UWC Short Courses across the world, and over 180 people worked on the delivery of these short courses. This growth is down to people like yourself who form passionate, bright teams and deliver a life-changing experience to a group of short course participants.

But forming a team is only one part of the Initiation Stage. As a whole, the Initiation Stage is a lot about learning and finding your feet, understanding the UWC movement and what a UWC short course really is, exploring lots of ideas and working among much ambiguity.  

In the 'Applying for UWC Endorsement' section, you'll be presented with a link to an online form which you can fill in to apply to become a UWC short course. This online form asks you various questions about your plans, such as asking you to provide your preliminary budget. All of the information and resources in this resource platform are to help you deliver your short course. These are either:
