UWC Branding and Promotion
UWC is a global leader in engaging and educating the next generation of value driven, ethical leaders acting together to build a more peaceful, sustainable and just society. By communicating UWC International's brand in a consistent way, we present a clear, confident and coherent picture of who we are.
The resources and information in this section will empower you to create materials such as your short course brochure, banners, letterheads, t-shirts and tote bags, and many more - it's really up to your imagination to create in compliance with the UWC brand guidelines.
Brand Toolkit
The communications and engagement team at UWC International have developed the following branding toolkits (a full and a short version) which all UWC school and colleges, national committees, and short course organisers need to use. Short Course Logos
A number of short course logos have been created for your use in merchandise and other promotional materials. The folder below features the 'UWC short courses' and 'UWC short course' logos in the classic UWC blue, black and white. Each of the blue, black and white versions are also given in a number of formats which have specific uses:
CMYK: this has a solid white background and should be used on printed documents
EPS: this is the vector design which cannot be used in a document, but should be used for merchandise (i.e. if you want to print a large flag or banner for your short course)
RGB: this should be used in digital documents and where you have a coloured background as it had a transparent background
Brochure
A striking, professional brochure can be one of the best promotional materials for your short course. Some of the best we've seen are provided below for inspiration, which were issued by a partner of UWC International, the Mariposa DR Foundation (Sustainability as Social Justice: Investing in Girls and in Mother Earth), and Global Leadership Forum ahead of their 2019 short courses.
All images featured in your brochure must have consent to be shared externally from the featured individuals.
Social Media
To promote your UWC short course, UWC international advises that you create a website, a Facebook page and/or event, an Instagram or even a Snapchat account. This will also be used to promote your short course via the UWC website. Social media sites and websites should also comply with UWC branding at all times. Below are further hints and tips regarding social media management and 101 information on creating videos for promotion.

Other Media
In addition to social media, you can consider the following media outlets for promoting your short course, read hints and tips for promoting your course on little to no financial resources, and read about one national committee's experiences in promoting to private schools.
UWC Website
UWC International will now promote all UWC short courses on its website for consistency. Once you have created a brochure, video, website and social media pages, you are asked to make a copy of the following form, fill it out and submit it to UWC International via FluidReview for promotion on the UWC website. You should submit this to UWC International at least 4 months prior to the start of your short course.
You do not have to create a video, brochure, website and social media pages, especially because upkeep of a number of mediums is challenging, but if you can manage 2 or 3 of these, that is beneficial.
